OrgBearings is the data controller for your account data (your name, email address, authentication and billing details).
For the organisational map you create — the people, departments, projects, blockers and availability you record — you (or your organisation) are the data controller and OrgBearings acts as your data processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record information about colleagues and other third parties in your workspace.
Account data: email address, name, password (stored only as a hash) and workspace membership.
Workspace data you enter: names, job titles, remits, relationships, working patterns, leave dates, projects and blockers about people in your organisation. This content belongs to your workspace and is never shared with other customers.
Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store subscription status and order records, never full card numbers.
Technical data: server logs and error reports used to keep the service reliable and secure.
To provide the service: store and display your map, enforce plan limits, send transactional email (sign-in, invitations, receipts).
We do not sell your data, do not use workspace content for advertising, and do not train models on it.
Application data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) infrastructure; the application runs on servers we operate via Coolify. Authentication is provided by Supabase Auth and payments by Stripe.
Every workspace can export all of its data (JSON and CSV) and permanently delete all organisation data from within the app — no support ticket needed, on every plan including Free.
You may also request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing of your personal data by contacting us. UK users have the right to complain to the ICO.
If a colleague asks you about the data you hold about them in your workspace, responding to that request is your responsibility as the controller — the export and purge tools are built to help you honour it.
Workspace data is kept until you delete it or delete your account. When you cancel a subscription your data is never deleted — caps apply only to new records, and gated features become read-only.
